Every year more than two lakh candidates appear in CAT exam to be eligible to take admission in any of the top B –Schools. Generally there are 250-850 seats for a batch which are finalized after taking an interview. CAT Exam has two sections:
- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation;
- Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning
There is sectional time limit for both of them. Each section carries 30 questions to be completed in 70 minutes. There will be on-screen countdown timer which will monitor the time. Once the time of section 1 is over it will switch over to the Section 2 and one cannot go back to the previous one. It is computer based test which will be monitored online by the examining authorities earlier it was in pen and pencil mode.

Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning

- Improve the vocabulary skills by making correct use of phrases and words.
- Reading Comprehension is one of the lengthy questions. If you practice solving more and more CAT type passages it will help you improve the reading speed and understanding the same. Practice solving the passages before a month of the exam to gain speed and confidence.
- Spot the error questions can be cracked accurately if you practice reading articles. It will improve your grammar which is the basic need to solve spot the error questions.
CAT Exam is a mix of easy, moderate and difficult questions. The only need to solve the questions accurately is to learn to identify the questions to reach to the accurate answer. It will help you solve the questions quickly and you will be able to attempt all the questions but mark them correctly.
