CAT is a common Admission Test which is conducted for MBA Entrance for those who aspire to do it from a reputed institute. Quantitative Aptitude (QA):
In CAT Exam candidates needs basic mathematics skills upto the 10 standard levels. But most of the students pick the complex topics which are not of much use for CAT Exam.

Explore all the possibilities of answers from the options given using various approaches but do not make any guess work. For this you need to practice a lot on all the topics assigned.
Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation (LR/DI):
Questions based on logical reasoning and data interpretation are knowledge oriented and skill – oriented. These topics need few concepts but need more practice. Practice the questions by setting a timer or else you will not be able to achieve the goal. These questions do not require any previous knowledge anyone can master them by practising them thoroughly.
To master DI there is a need to be conversant with the application of some of the applications related to percentages, proportionality tool, averages and allegations. These applications are different from traditional calculations and needs lot of practice. Besides comprehension ability, analytical and logical ability matters a lot to solve such questions.
To solve Logical Reasoning questions the topics to be mastered are linear arrangements, circular arrangements, distributions, order & sequencing, selections or binary logic. The candidates have to achieve the basic skills by doing rigorous practice. Besides the above mentioned topics one need to practice other topics which are puzzle based such as cubes, games, venn diagram, tournaments etc are also required in this section.
